Looking back on the New Orleans Saints the last few years and how they utilized Alvin Kamara is something we can expect to see in this new Chargers offense. Even though Kamara has yet to eclipse the 1,000 yard mark he’s been one of the most productive backs in the NFL, especially when the ball is in the air. It was just two years ago that Ekeler was just shy of 1,000 receiving yards. Through his first 4 years in the league Kamara averaged 1,541 All-Purpose yards which is something Ekeler can achieve if he stays healthy.

If you watch Ekeler run the ball he has a lot more power than you would expect from the naked eye. He is constantly breaking tackles and finding creases in the defense. With Lombardi, a healthy season, and 2nd year QB Justin Herbert, Ekeler should have a career season in year 5. Ekeler is one of the strongest RB’s in the league pound-for-pound.

“They were finding all types of ways to give [Kamara] the ball,” Ekeler said. “I see the same turnover over here with the Chargers as well. As long as I’m making plays, they’re going to keep feeding me, so that’s why you should draft me.”
